NeuroArt Awards

Last Friday, more than a hundred young students competed to win NeuroArt. The 24 pieces that competet in the final round of NeuroArt included sculpture, painting, video, audio, and digital installations. All works of art were based on different concepts regards the nervous system: from the biology of neurons to deseases of the nervous system.

The jury, formed by experts in Education, Art and Neurosciences, examined all the pieces and gave three awards:

 

First prize 1r d’ESO

Autors: Mustafà Azarfane, Joan Castillo, Lídia Cierza, Nil Ferrando i Santi Gallego.

 

 

First prize 2n d’ESO

Sense títol, Institut Joan Manuel Zafra

Autors: Julia Alves, Marcela Cabrera, Marboré Cabezas, Ailin Bacca, Elias Ouled i Yerard Hernández.

 

 

First prize 3r i 4rt d’ESO

Manipulació, Institut Ribera del Sió

Autors: Àlex Boncompte, Kora Escolà i Ainhoa Noreña.

 

 

Don’t miss de opportunity to see the art pieces made by the finalists of the NeuroArt Contest! The exhibition is located at the Belles Arts Faculty and it will be open from the 11th until the 22nd of June. 

Dates: 11-22 June.

Time: Mon-Fri mornings 12-14h, Mon and Wed afternoon 16-20h.
